At Sovita Credit Union, the health and well-being of our members, employees and community is most important. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be feeling surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are committed to being responsive to the needs of our members and employees as the situation evolves.
We have a plan in place to meet the needs of our staff and members, which is reviewed on a daily basis. We are following the most current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), and other state and local authorities and make proactive adjustments as needed.
To ensure that you are aware of our efforts and comfortable with our commitment to provide the service you depend on daily, we will provide updates that will be posted on our website and social media page for your convenience.
Sovita Credit Union will remain open during normal business hours and fully functional, however, due to the State of Michigan’s request to encourage social distancing, the credit union will follow capacity limits when allowing access to the lobby area at each office and will provide updates to our members as we receive guidance from the CDC, MDHHS and other state and local authorities.
If you do need to come into an office, you will notice a few modifications to our lobby and member suite areas. We have implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing procedures and posted signage to assist members in practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet. To help keep members and staff safe and healthy we also implemented the following changes:
We ask members to not enter a building if:
1. You have or had any of the following symptoms in the last two (2) days that are unrelated to a known health condition:
2. You had close contact in the last fourteen (14) days with someone displaying symptoms of or diagnosed with COVID-19. Close contact means you have been within six feet of someone who has COVID-19 or has displayed symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 15 minutes or as otherwise defined by the CDC.
Everyone who has not been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 according to CDC guidelines must wear a mask, which covers their nose and mouth, when in one of our offices. You can expect all credit union staff to be wearing a mask.
Please limit the number of persons who come with you into an office to one. Because of the MDHHS's guidance, we must limit the number of persons in our offices and we want to quickly and safely assist as many members as possible.
We have modified our lobby areas to allow for social distancing of at least 6 feet and are required to adhere to the capacity limit for each building based on guidance by the MDHHS. We encourage you to use our drive-thru as we believe it is a safer way to conduct your transaction and reduce your wait time in an office.

We will continue to assist members in person and through our drive-thru service at the locations and hours listed below. You may also continue to contact us via telephone or e-mail or by requesting an in-branch appointment starting March 22, 2021.

Sovita Branch Offices without drive-thru capabilities:
The Lapeer branch office and the Flint branch office do not have drive-thru services. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment at those offices too. We are required to adhere to capacity requirements set forth by the MDHHS and we feel the safest way to handle transactions at that branch office is by scheduling an appointment. Most transactions can be handled at an ATM, over the telephone, online or by using our electronic services. You will continue to have access to your account 24 hours a day through A+COMPUTE Online Banking, the A+CALL Telephone Transaction system and the A+COMPUTE Mobile Banking App. You may continue to use your ATM, VISA Debit and Credit Cards to pay for purchases or obtain cash from any ATM.
